The Most Holy Rosary...

Our Lady and Her Most Holy Rosary ~ what an important part of my daily life! My favorite prayer, after the Holy Mass and visitation...bringing me into the presence of Our Lord and His Blessed Mother in all of Their life's story...and how They are intertwined with my own.
As a member of the Blue Army (World Apostolate of Fatima) for over 27 years, I have tried to be true to my Pledge to say the Rosary every day of my life; I admit to having failed at times, through my own fault, totally...but the desire and the 'trying' has always been there!
To meditate on the Mysteries is a constant source of inspiration to me; at different times I have had my own 'favorite' Mysteries...I have felt inclined to concentrate on one or another especially, but when I look at the whole picture of all twenty of them, what a wonderful source of grace! There is an old saying that goes: There is not a Saint in Heaven who has not wished that he/she could have said just one more 'Hail Mary'...and I believe that to be true.
Our Lady has not asked us for so much that it is impossible to obey Her ~ She wants more than anything to bring us to Her Divine Son. And She has only asked us for the simplest of requests: pray the Rosary every day, wear the Brown Scapular, offer daily duties, make the Devotion of the Five First Saturdays.
There is no reason on earth why we cannot do this ~ take Her at Her word! Believe Her when She tells us that this is the surest way to Heaven!
The saddest thing to see is a former Catholic who has fallen away from the True Fold, who doesn't want to live up to his/her Baptismal vows. How many souls can be saved by a simple Rosary, said with the intention of making reparation to the Sacred Heart, through the Immaculate Heart!?!! How many more lives could be turned around with this prayer?
The solution, it seems to me, is so simple...but so few follow it. It is not hidden in some small hole in a far-off corner of the world; it is not only readable in some long-forgotten script that only scholars can decipher...
It is written in the hearts of all men, women and children! It is rung out from the highest hilltops by every church bell ~ and taught in every Catholic home in every country of the world.
It is called the Most Holy Rosary. And it was given to us by the Queen of Heaven Herself.
Why do we persist in taking our sweet time to answer Her?

Love your new color layout. So much easier to read then the black.

You should do a write up about Our Lady, Undoer of Knots...the picture you have on your sidebar. It is so beautiful.

Thank-you so much, Micki! I'm glad you like this one better ~ I tried to choose one that would suit more people! :)
As long as it's blue, I'm happy!
And I'm glad you like that painting; it's over 200 years old, actually...although I had not heard of this title for Our Lady until recently.
It is beautiful, isn't it?
A blog about Her answering our prayers this way would be a good thing to do...I think I will do that! :)

........Because of sin :0( It's really sad and pathetic especially because what she asks of us is so EASY compared to things asked of us here on Earth. I've been one to ask her to hang on...which is horrible and always I take it to confession. I jokingly told my friend Darci at Familia "I'm sure she wants to smack me sometimes!" and she laughed and told me "No she doesn't. She loves you" and then she paused and went "Well Jewish Momma's are known for a good spanking ever once in awhile."

The lady across from me chimed in and said "Remember when Jesus disappeared to teach. We didn't hear about him again until he was 30. Tell me what Mom did to him!" It was quite funny. But Holy Mother forgive us for the times we disobey :0(

*hugs to you*

It's funny you should bring that up, Kate...I remember reading a passage in The City of God, which told of a time when Our Lady was learning in the Temple in Her youngest days, and another girl actually slapped Her across the face!!
Can you imagine striking the future Mother of God?!?!?
What jealousy can do, eh?
